Question and Answers - Audience Participation

Beginning at approximately the 1:03 minute, I make a couple statements that I am not totally sure why I said them the way I did.
If you listen to the end, you will hear me say that there are times where we see physical water in the Book of Acts - and where we see that - we see people fulfilling the Law God gave Moses.

I want to make this as clear as can be. I do NOT believe that Mark 16 or Matthew 28 is a command for physical water - in the form of a "church water ritual."

When the text clearly tells us physical water is in the text - then I believe we are to understand it that way. But when physical water is NOT in the text - we are not to insert physical water into the text. Adding physical water into the text - JUST BECAUSE THE WORD "baptism" IS IN THE TEXT - is the epitome of eisogesis (adding something into the text for the purpose of an agenda).

Just seeing the word "baptism" - which is a word that SHOULDN'T EVEN BE N OUR BIBLES - should not immediately make someone think of a "church water ritual." Sadly, that is EXACTLY what people think when they hear any form of the word "bapto."

The next time I discuss Matthew 28 in the "water series" - is in message #190. We look at Mark 16, Matthew 28 and Acts 2 again in message #196. Again in messages 211 and 212. In the notes for message I say - "If I ever said anything to the contrary (that H2O is in those texts) - I WAS WRONG.

In message #241 - I was once clarify what I believe concerning Matthew 28. I will say it again - THERE IS NO MENTION OF PHYSICAL WATER IN THE TEXT. It is talking about immersing people into the belief that Jesus has ALL POWER and that ALL MEN are the believe and live the teachings of Christ.
